Compare Bank Statement Converters
There is no single best converter for every workflow. Here is the practical difference between our browser-only beta, server-upload converters, and general document parsers.
At a glance
| Feature | Bank Statement to Excel Converter | Server-upload converters | General document parsers |
|---|---|---|---|
| PDF handling | Text-based PDFs in your browser | Native and scanned PDFs on vendor servers | Template setup per layout |
| Privacy model | PDF stays in the browser | PDF is uploaded for processing | PDF is uploaded for processing |
| Current price | Free beta | Usually free tier plus paid plans | Usually paid after trial |
| Outputs | XLSX, CSV, JSON | Often includes accounting formats | Often CSV, Excel, JSON, API |
| Best fit today | Privacy-sensitive users testing text-based statements | Users needing OCR and accounting exports now | Teams with repeat document templates |
Our current edge
The current product is best when you care about reducing data exposure. Supported statements are converted locally in the browser, so the PDF is not uploaded to our server for extraction.
Where we need to catch up
OCR for scanned PDFs, batch processing, and accounting formats such as QBO, QFX, Xero CSV, MT940, and CAMT.053 are still roadmap items. We are prioritizing these based on real user reports.
